Jimmy Fallon recently mocked Jake Paul’s appearance at a Donald Trump event, calling out the boxer for cherry-picking his opponents, especially retired athletes and boxers way past their prime. The talk show host began by addressing Donald Trump and his mixed messages about Iran. However, he soon moved on to criticize the YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul, who appeared in a recent event with the President.
Jimmy Fallon roasts Jake Paul’s appearance at Donald Trump event
During the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the veteran talk show host ripped into the President for his mixed stance on the Iran war. He pointed out some contradictory statements that the President made over the past weeks, before showing a parody speech about Trump having enough “gas,” amidst the concerns during the Iran war.
Following this, the host slammed Jake Paul, mocking him for attending a Donald Trump event.
“Did you guys see this? Yesterday, Trump gave a speech in Kentucky, and at one point, he brought Jake Paul up on stage,” the host told his audience.
Taking a dig at Paul picking his opponents for a fight, the host added, “Yeah, and when Jake realized Trump is 79 years old, he challenged him to a boxing match.”
This has been a long-standing criticism of Paul, who has routinely challenged retired MMA fighters, non-boxers, or athletes well past their prime for fights. The time he faced a boxer his own age, Tommy Fury, he lost. Moreover, when Paul faced Anthony Joshua, he lost via a sixth-round knockout. The fight went viral online, and there was a wave of hatred that emerged against Paul.
Jake Paul, along with his brother, Logan Paul, remains a controversial figure in the world of wrestling and boxing.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump remains at the center of major geopolitical turmoil.
