All TV Series Renewed in March 2026

Several TV series were officially renewed in March 2026 across major networks and streaming platforms. The announcements included comedies, dramas, reality competition shows, and period series returning for additional seasons. These renewals were confirmed by networks including ABC, NBC, Fox, Netflix, and PBS.

Miss Scarlet

PBS renewed the period crime drama Miss Scarlet for a seventh season, which will also serve as the show’s final chapter. The series debuted in 2021 on Masterpiece Mystery! and follows Victorian London investigator Eliza Scarlet.

Kate Phillips returns as Eliza Scarlet alongside Tom Durant-Pritchard, Paul Bazely, Tim Chipping, and Evan McCabe. Phillips said portraying Eliza has been “the greatest joys of my career” and added, “It’s been a privilege to work on a show crafted with so much love and dedication.”

Best Medicine

Fox renewed the freshman medical drama Best Medicine for a second season consisting of 12 episodes for the 2026–2027 television season. The series stars Josh Charles as Dr. Martin Best, a doctor who moves from Boston to practice medicine in the town of Port Wenn, Maine.

The show is based on the ITV series Doc Martin created by Dominic Minghella and developed by Liz Tuccilo. According to Deadline, the premiere drew 12.6 million total multi-platform viewers and ranked among the top two highest-rated drama debuts of the season.

Destination X

NBC renewed the reality competition series Destination X for a second season. The show is hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and features contestants attempting to guess their secret locations while traveling on a blacked-out bus.

The first season premiered in May 2025. It averaged 14 million viewers across linear and streaming in its first 26 days. NBC stated it was “the top alternative series launch on Peacock.” The network also said it reached 20 million viewers across all platforms during its ten-episode run.

Little House on the Prairie

Netflix renewed Little House on the Prairie for a second season ahead of its first season premiere. The show is based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s book series and stars Alice Halsey, Skywalker Hughes, Luke Bracey, and Crosby Fitzgerald.

Showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine said, “I’m incredibly grateful to our wonderful cast and crew, who put their hearts and hard work into making our first season come alive.” Netflix executive Jinny Howe added, “We are delighted to renew this beautiful reimagining of Little House on the Prairie for a second season ahead of its Netflix debut.”

Abbott Elementary

ABC renewed the sitcom Abbott Elementary for a sixth season. Created by Quinta Brunson, the series stars Brunson as Janine Teagues alongside Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, William Stanford Davis, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

The show is currently the highest-rated comedy among adults aged 18–49. Abbott Elementary has won four Primetime Emmy Awards and received a total of 30 nominations.

9-1-1

ABC renewed the procedural drama 9-1-1 for a tenth season. Created by Ryan Murphy, the series follows Los Angeles first responders and the emergencies they handle.

The show stars Angela Bassett, Oliver Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Guzman, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Corinne Massiah, Elijah M. Cooper, and Gavin McHugh. The series premiered in 2018 on Fox before moving to ABC starting with Season 7.

9-1-1: Nashville

ABC also renewed the spin-off series 9-1-1: Nashville for a second season. The show follows emergency responders in Nashville and is the second spin-off in the 9-1-1 franchise.

Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, Hailey Kilgore, and Hunter McVey star in the series. Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani created the show.

High Potential

ABC renewed High Potential for a third season. The series stars Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, a cleaning worker at the LAPD whose high IQ leads her to become a consultant for the police department.

The cast also includes Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, and Amirah J. The renewal comes as the show prepares for a change in leadership after showrunner Todd Harthan departed to work on the upcoming Eragon series.

The Night Agent

Netflix renewed The Night Agent for a fourth season in March 2026. The political thriller series stars Gabriel Basso as FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who works a night shift answering emergency calls at the White House.

Netflix previously renewed the show for a third season before the second season premiered. The decision reflected the series’ strong viewership performance on the platform. Based on Matthew Quirk’s novel, the series follows Sutherland as he becomes involved in high-level government conspiracies and national security threats.

The Drew Barrymore Show

CBS renewed The Drew Barrymore Show for two additional seasons, confirming the talk show will return for Season 7 and Season 8. The renewal continues the program’s run since its debut in 2020.

Drew Barrymore said, “What matters most to us is our viewers and the people that come here! This show began as a space for intimate conversation, and we’re continuing to plant our flag as a truly multiplatform experience” (via Deadline).

The Audacity

AMC renewed The Audacity for Season 2 ahead of the series’ upcoming debut on April 12. The dark comedy drama is created by Jonathan Glatzer and stars Billy Magnussen and Zach Galifianakis. AMC Networks and AMC Studios boss Dan McDermott said, “Season one is fantastic, season two can’t come soon enough.”

Doc

Fox renewed the medical drama Doc for Season 3, which is scheduled for the 2026–27 broadcast cycle. The series stars Molly Parker and will again receive a 22-episode order for its next season.

“Doc has become a true breakout for Fox, delivering our largest scripted multiplatform audience of the season and building remarkable momentum across Fox, Hulu, Netflix, and internationally — earning it another 22-episode order,” Fox’s Michael Thorn said.

The Forsytes

PBS confirmed that the historical drama The Forsytes has been renewed for Season 3 before its U.S. premiere on Masterpiece. The show first aired on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom in October 2025.

Based on John Galsworthy’s The Forsyte Saga novels, the series follows a wealthy British family. Production on the third season is expected to begin in the United Kingdom next month, with additional filming planned across Europe, as per a report.

Marshals

CBS renewed Marshals for Season 2 after the first two episodes of its debut season aired. The series is a Yellowstone spin-off centered on Luke Grimes’ Kayce Dutton.

The Traitors Renewed Through Season 8

The BBC has renewed The Traitors (UK) with a three-year deal that will keep the series running until at least 2030. Season 5 will arrive in 2027, followed by Season 6 in 2028, Season 7 in 2029, and Season 8 in 2030. The show is filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

The Celebrity Traitors Renewed

The Celebrity Traitors UK will also continue under the same agreement. Season 2 will premiere later in 2026 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, followed by Season 3 in 2027, Season 4 in 2028, and Season 5 in late 2029. So, it is expected to air at least until 2030, before a decision is taken on more seasons.

At Home With the Furys (Honorable Mention)

Reports indicate that Netflix is expected to renew At Home With the Furys for Season 3. The reality series follows boxing champion Tyson Fury and his family.

According to reports, preparations for the third season are already underway at production company Optomen. But Netflix declined to respond to requests for comment regarding the renewal.
