A friend of Corey Harrison is asking fans for monetary help after the reality TV star’s devastating accident. According to a GoFundMe page, the 42-year-old is suffering from 11 breaks in his rib cage, a concussion, and internal bleeding.
Pawn Stars’ Corey Harrison’s friend launches GoFundMe to get fan support amid motorcycle accident
Corey Harrison’s friend is seeking financial aid for the Pawn Stars alum’s medical bills after a horrific motorcycle accident. Harrison’s friend Aron Chambers launched a GoFundMe detailing the intricacies of the unfortunate accident and requesting monetary support from fans. The goal is to collect $18,000 to cover his medical bills.
After multiple life-saving surgeries, the reality TV personality now needs over $100,000 for medical bills after draining his finances. Chambers is seeking help, claiming Harrison “emptied his entire bank account” and used his credit cards. He reportedly has $400 in his bank account and is indebted to his father and friends who loaned him money (via TMZ).
On the GoFundMe page, Chambers explained, “Being on television and part of Pawn Stars fame doesn’t come with a built-in safety net for emergencies like this — medical crises don’t care about celebrity status.” Further, he wrote, “This fundraiser is our lifeline to get him through this.”
Chambers reasons that asking for financial help isn’t easy for “someone as independent” as Harrison. However, “this accident has changed everything, and we can’t do it alone.” His friend went on to share that Harrison is the “same resilient guy” and thanked fans for their generous donations.
Previously, Harrison told TMZ that he isn’t associated with Pawn Stars anymore but receives residual checks from reruns of the popular reality TV series. His father, Rick Harrison, told the outlet, “Corey is a grown man, and he will deal with his life as he sees fit.”
