According to Deadline, a new drama from Peter Gould is officially moving forward, as FX Networks and Hulu have ordered his series Disinherited for production. The project comes from Gould alongside T-Street Productions, led by Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman.
Disinherited follows two determined sisters who suddenly receive an unexpected inheritance that dramatically changes their lives. The inheritance, which seems like a major opportunity, soon pulls them into a world of generational wealth and hidden crimes. As they navigate this new reality, the sisters are forced to confront dangerous secrets from the past.
The series stars Victoria Pedretti and Kiera Allen in the lead roles. They are joined by a supporting cast that includes Karl Glusman, Alan Ruck, Katja Herbers, Eddie Marsan, and Jonathan Higginbotham. The project was first reported to be in development in June 2025, when a pilot was ordered with Pedretti and Allen attached to star.
Behind the scenes, Gould wrote and directed the pilot episode and will executive-produce the series. He is joined by Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue from T-Street. The show is produced by FX Productions.

Gould is best known for co-creating the acclaimed drama Better Call Saul alongside Vince Gilligan. Earlier in his career, he worked as a writer and producer on the Emmy-winning series Breaking Bad.
