Aaron Rodgers Seemingly Slams FBI Director Kash Patel Hockey Celebration

Aaron Rodgers recently took a dig at FBI Director Kash Patel while discussing Team USA’s win over Canada at the Winter Olympics. In particular, a moment from the team’s post-win celebration didn’t sit well with him—it was when Patel appeared to be partying with the players. He complained that Patel should have been more focused on addressing serious issues than on celebrating the victory in the locker room.

During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers expressed his issue with Patel’s presence in Team USA’s post-win celebration. He said, “Can we get that one guy out of the locker room, though, and get him working on something else? That’s a bad look. Come on, have some awareness.”

Coming to his defense, host McAfee revealed that he had seen some people mention that Patel is a beer-league hockey player. He also believes that he still plays ice hockey with young people and that he’s a massive fan of the sport.

Despite the criticism, Rodgers said he was proud that Team USA brought home the victory. He also appreciated Team USA’s goalie, Connor Hellebuyck, for having received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Patel recently faced massive backlash over a viral video in which he appeared to be drinking beer and celebrating the victory alongside Team USA players. He appeared extremely enthusiastic, as he jumped, partied, and participated in Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” rendition.

As his celebration with the teammates caught widespread attention, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to defend his actions and shut down the backlash. “For the very concerned media – yes, I love America and was extremely humbled when my friends, the newly minted Gold Medal winners on Team USA, invited me into the locker room to celebrate this historic moment with the boys- Greatest country on earth and greatest sport on earth,” he wrote.
