ABC Sitcom That Ended in 2025 Brings Final Season on Netflix Very Soon

The final installment of an ABC sitcom is scheduled to arrive on Netflix this month, bringing all seven seasons on the platform. It served as the direct follow-up for Roseanne, a revival of the popular 1990s series of the same name.

The Conners Season 7 to stream on Netflix this month

The Conners Season 7 will start streaming on Netflix on Thursday, March 26, 2026 (via What’s on Netflix). It is a spin-off series that follows the Conners, a working-class family in Lanford, Illinois. The story revolves around their everyday struggles like finances, relationships, and parenting after the sudden death of matriarch Roseanne.

The original sitcom Roseanne was created by Roseanne Barr and Matt Williams. It ran for nine seasons from 1988 to 1996. The creators revived the show in 2018, continuing the story more than twenty years after the finale. While it was renewed for an 11th season, Barr’s racist and highly controversial tweet led to the studio firing her and ultimately canceling the show (via TV Guide).

As a result, ABC ordered a spin-off, which retained some of the show’s original cast. The Conners’ cast features Dan Conner, Jackie Harris, Darlene Conner, Becky Conner-Healy, Harris Conner-Healy, and Mark Conner-Healy, among others.

The series is developed by Bruce Helford, Bruce Rasmussen, and Dave Caplan. It premiered on October 16, 2018, and concluded on April 23, 2025, with two back-to-back episodes. By the end of its run, it had seven seasons, totaling 112 episodes.

Unlike the original series, The Conners received less-than-favorable ratings. On IMDb, it has a user rating of 5.9, and on Rotten Tomatoes, it has an average of 48% for all seven seasons. Nonetheless, it received seven Primetime Emmy nominations and won one award for editing in 2021.

Despite the low user ratings on review-aggregator sites, the first season averaged at 9.5 million viewers, per Deadline. However, the viewership dropped significantly for subsequent seasons. The final episode reportedly brought in an average of 3.1 million viewers.
