Donald Trump Poll Amid Iran War Revealed

Following the shocking decision made by Donald Trump’s administration about striking Iran, which claimed the life of the country’s supreme leader, Ali Hosseini Khamenei, a new poll has revealed the citizens’ opinion on the same. The census conveyed the general public’s view on Trump’s aggressive military tactics, with some shocking statistics coming to light in the wake of the attack on the Middle Eastern nation.

New poll suggests Americans disapproving Donald Trump’s attack on Iran

On Sunday, March 1, a survey, which took place during the US and Israel’s combined charge on Iran and concluded before the former declared the first American casualties in the operation.

The poll, organized by Reuters/Ipsos, disclosed people’s take on Donald Trump’s move against Iran, with about half of the 1,282 participants expressing their disapproval of the strikes.

27% of the respondents sided with the government’s decision to attack Iran, while 43% were in disagreement, and 30% maintained an uncertain stance. However, Republicans seemed to have a more favorable opinion of the strikes, as 55% backed Trump’s attack, 32% chose no sides, and a meager 13% condemned the whole operation.

Understandably, Democrats offered a contrasting view, with 74% opposing the strike on Iran. 19% were not sure of the decision, with 7% speaking in support of the current US President.

The new poll also highlighted that more than half of Americans do not agree with Trump’s use of military force, with 56% describing his policies as “too much.” Moreover, 35% seem to be content with the current intensity, with 5% asking for a more combative approach.

Meanwhile, the Republicans once again supported the businessman-turned-politician, as 73% seemed satisfied with the President’s use of the army. Once again, the Democrats had a polar opposite reaction to their political counterparts, with 87% speaking against Trump’s military plans.

Notably, Donald Trump’s administration has ordered attacks against Venezuela, Syria, and Nigeria, in addition to Iran, in recent months.
