Jason Kelce revealed that NFL injuries are affecting his golf game. The former Eagles alum is busy with multiple endeavors post his thriving NFL career. Kelce co-hosts the New Heights podcast along with his brother, Travis Kelce, and has hosted an NFL show similar to The Tonight Show. However, it seems that, just like his brother Travis, Jason is also trying his hand at other sports, such as golf.
Jason Kelce talks about his golf struggles
Jason Kelce shared that his NFL injuries are not allowing him to play golf as proficiently as possible. The 38-year-old is a golf enthusiast, much like his younger brother, and has been focused on golf ever since retiring. Also, Kelce participated in the Celebrity Golf Tournament in 2025.
Notably, the father of four partially tore his quad muscle while training to dunk a basketball. However, that didn’t stop him from putting his best foot forward in golf (via The Sports Rush).
On the March 1 episode of his YouTube video titled “Golf Shoes Suck, So I Made My Own,” Kelce revealed how he got custom-made shoes. He shared, “I have been playing a lot of golf. The only issue, besides my golf swing, is that my ankles have been beaten to s**t through years of playing in the NFL, and I need more ankle support.”
Furthermore, he shared, “Do they have golf support? Well, turns out not really, but I know a guy in South Philly (Philadelphia), Dom the Cobblers, what we used to call him, and he can resew a golf cleat to the bottom of a boot. And we’re going to Frankenstein ourselves some golf boots. Right? That makes sense.”
Through the first couple of minutes, the 38-year-old explains the functionality of his custom-made golf boots. Throughout the video, Kelce tries out different golf boots before finally settling on one. The former Eagles star explained that the main design change is the sole on the bottom of the shoe.
Fans, too, are loving Kelce’s new custom-made golf boots. One fan commented, “golf boots might be a thing now thanks to you.” A second fan wrote, “Fr, that’s dope. Golf boots sound wild, but if they keep you moving, then do it. Love seeing you dive into something new. Get it.”
A third fan penned, “Sounds like a great idea, Jason! Golf boots could give you the support you need while looking stylish on the course. Can’t wait to see you in action!” Finally, a fan chimed in, “Thanks for showcasing cobblers! They are a dying industry that deserves more recognition.”
