A new poster showing Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt has confirmed the release date window for Interview with the Vampire Season 3, also known as just The Vampire Lestat. The show debuted on AMC in 2022, and the network renewed the series for Season 3 in June 2024, ahead of the Season 2 finale.

AMC has confirmed the release date window for Interview with the Vampire Season 3 with a new poster featuring Sam Reid’s vampire Lestat. The poster stated that Season 3 is going to arrive in June 2026.
In the caption, they mentioned, “Oh yeah, he’s coming. #TheVampireLestat.” According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, following the confirmation of Season 3 in June 2024, AMC Studios head Dan McDermott said in a statement that after acquiring the rights to Annie Rice’s novels, which “have sold more than 150 million copies,” the studio wanted to make a show as good as the source. McDermott stated that he can’t wait to see what Season 3 is going to have in store for “an incredibly loyal and passionate base of fans” who know the source material wholeheartedly.
In November 2025, AMC released a short teaser for Season 3. In the teaser, fans can see Sam Reid’s Lestat taking on his rock star persona. Reid talked about the rock star angle in July 2025 and told the aforementioned EW, “It’s pretty wild, I’ve got to say. I can’t really believe we’re doing it. Sometimes I’m like, ‘What the hell?!'” The actor also went on to state, “Lestat has an intention to express his views and his experience through music, music videos, and recordings, and all this kind of stuff. And they are finding a wonderful, cool way to weave that through a lot of the denser parts.”
