Following the revelation of a picture featuring Stephen Hawking and two women in bikinis via the Epstein files, the late scientist’s family has issued a response to clarify the situation. Hawking‘s viral photo with the semi-clad women, combined with his name popping up several times in the Jeffrey Epstein emails, has spawned several conspiracy theories against him. This has prompted a retaliatory response from the Hawking clan, with representatives close to the family denying all wrongdoing on the renowned scholar’s part.
Stephen Hawking’s family reportedly talks about Epstein files photo
Stephen Hawking’s viral photo, released in the Epstein files, shows him sitting between two bikini-wearing women, all holding beverages. Following the image, which raised several questions, especially regarding Hawking’s alleged involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein controversy, a spokesperson for the scientist’s family has issued a statement in his defense.
“Professor Hawking made some of the greatest contributions to physics in the 20th century while at the same time being the longest-known survivor of motor neurone disease, a debilitating condition which left him reliant on a ventilator, voice synthesiser, wheelchair, and round-the-clock medical care. Any insinuation of inappropriate conduct on his part is wrong and far-fetched in the extreme,” the representative told The Mirror.
The picture was actually taken at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the US Virgin Islands in 2006, when Stephen Hawking visited to give a speech on quantum cosmology. A total of 21 preeminent scientists accompanied the English theoretical astrophysicist and cosmologist to a conference hosted by Epstein on his infamous island.
Many suspect the bikini-clad women in the picture to be long-term carers of the quantum mechanics maestro, who had been suffering from a slow-progressing form of motor neurone disease.
While there is no tangible evidence linking Stephen Hawking to the Epstein case, his name does appear at least 250 times in the emails published by the US Department of Justice.
