HBO’s The Pitt and Industry have been two of the best-reviewed shows of late, but Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings seems to have his favorite between them. A big fan of the high-octane financial drama Industry, he recently took to the internet to share his thoughts on the same, but inadvertently ended up stirring an ‘Industry vs. The Pitt’ debate, while also exchanging blows with a social media user.
Jeopardy’s Ken Jennings says no current show matches Industry’s level
On February 18, the seasoned game show host posted an update on social media, claiming that Industry was the best show on television at the moment.
“Nothing on tv is operating on Industry’s level right now. Nobody’s even close,” Ken Jennings wrote on BlueSky.
However, not everyone agreed with Jennings’ , with one user noting, “That’s only because The Pitt is so head-and-shoulders above everything else. If it were a little worse it might be on the level of Industry.” Another The Pitt fan countered Jennings’ statement, stating, “Exactly this. C’mon Ken, The Pitt is far superior to Industry.”
Meanwhile, the Jeopardy! host simply replied, “lol no.” Continuing the online tussle, the user retaliated by writing, “Yeah, watched every episode of both and this is a big whiff.” This prompted Ken Jennings to snap back with a sarcastic response, noting, “Gutted to learn I have better taste than A Random Guy. Not sure how I come back from this.”
“Bro… we are both random guys. So let’s cool it on the false sense of superiority,” the said user replied.
While many sided with the “random guy” in the Industry vs The Pitt debate, there were some who seemed to conform to Jennings’ opinion on the topic. “Industry? You’re absolutely right. It’s on fire,” said one BlueSky user while siding with the Jeopardy host.
From the critics’ point of view, the Noah Wyle-led medical drama appears to have outdone its counterpart in the ‘Industry vs. The Pitt’ battle. The Pitt, currently airing its second season, boasts a stellar Tomatometer score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
On the other hand, Industry has managed to garner an impressive yet inferior to its competitor rating of 91% on the website throughout its four-season run.
