Cardi B Slams Ex-Trump Advisor for Linking Her to Nicki Minaj ‘Bot’ Drama

The latest drama kicked off after a Politico report, citing data firm Cyabra, claimed that Nicki Minaj’s rising visibility in conservative political circles may have been amplified by coordinated bot activity. The said a notable share of engagement on her X (formerly Twitter) account during the reviewed period appeared to come from inauthentic profiles.

Alex Bruesewitz quickly pushed back. He called the report a “total scam” and tried to link the situation to Cardi B’s agent, Mike G, noting his reported connection to Cyabra. That claim sparked an immediate and heated reaction from the Grammy winner, who firmly stated she had absolutely “nothing to do” with either the company or the report.

“Listen, you involved me in something that has nothing to do wit me so now we’re gonna talk about the facts,” Cardi wrote on X, adding that she would “sue you, you wet dirty dog.” She stressed that Cyabra works with many investors and clients and said she does not track her agents’ business dealings.

The Cyabra reportedly claimed that about 33% of accounts engaging with Nicki Minaj over a two-month stretch were not authentic, more than 18,000 out of nearly 55,000 profiles reviewed (via Entertainment Weekly).

The firm also flagged December 26 in particular, saying roughly 56% of comments on her political posts that day appeared to come from fake accounts. The data pointed to what it described as a coordinated boost in activity.

Meanwhile, the long-running tension between Cardi B and Minaj again entered the conversation, especially with fresh talk around Cardi’s album, Am I the Drama? Still, Cardi made it clear she had zero connection to the situation. She closed with a sharp jab, saying that with serious economic problems facing the country, it was wild to watch a Trump adviser spend time “arguing on Twitter with female rappers.”
