‘Donald Trump Calls C-SPAN as John Barron’ Trends Amid Prank Call Controversy

Recently, “Donald Trump calls C-SPAN as John Barron” started trending after a call was made to the news station, and the voice of the caller resembled the US President’s. Additionally, the rumor was further ignited due to the name John Barron, which Trump reportedly has previously admitted to using as a pseudonym.

Recently, internet users were caught off guard after a man sounding like Donald Trump made a call to C-SPAN on the issue of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the President’s tariffs. This led many online to wonder if it was really the president using the fake name, John Barron, to express his views.

However, the network took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to address the rumors and stated that it was not Trump who made the call. They wrote, “Because so many of you are talking about Friday’s C-SPAN caller who identified himself as ‘John Barron,’ we want to put this to rest: it was not the president. The call came from a central Virginia phone number and came while the president was in a widely covered, in-person White-House meeting with the governors. Tune into C-SPAN for the actual president at the State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.”

During the call, the person identifying themselves as Barron slammed the ruling and said, “This is the worst decision you ever have in your life, practically. This is a terrible decision, and you have Hakeem Jeffries, who… he’s a dope. And you have Chuck Schumer, who can’t cook a cheeseburger. Of course, these people are happy… But true Americans will not be happy.”

Moreover, the C-SPAN call also raised speculation that it might have been Trump because John Barron was reportedly Trump’s go-to alias when he wanted to pass a message without revealing his name to the media (via The Washington Post).
