As per the latest reports, Vanity Fair has allegedly slashed its Oscar party guest list by half, and among others, the Trump administration has not made the cut. The coveted party is among the most prestigious in Hollywood, and one that even most celebrities dream of attending. There also seems to be some new protocols in place, making this party more exclusive.
Sources suggest Donald Trump family not invited Vanity Fair’s Oscar party
Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party will now accommodate half the original planned guests. Page Six has reported that the Trump administration is on the guest list who have been slashed from this year’s party. President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and senior Trump officials will not be invited to the party now, per Page Six.
This comes under the leadership of Mark Guiducci, who took over the role of global editorial director from Radhika Jones in June last year. Under Guiducci, the party is returning to its roots of including only top-tier Hollywood talent and genuine Oscar winners.
Page Six further reported that Guiducci plans to remove the attendees who are famous for power or politics rather than film achievements. This year, celebrities with a personal invitation or an actual Oscar statuette are the only ones expected inside.
“The A-list names still showed, but they increasingly shared the room with brand partners, media buyers, press and industry-adjacent plus ones,” an insider said about the previous years’ parties.
Moreover, reports also added that this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar party will not be as press-friendly as previous years. Reports add that the press will be kept outside the main party area and social media usage will be prohibited inside, further adding to the appeal of the sought-after party.
Like other years, the Vanity Fair party will follow the main Oscars ceremony on March 15, 2026. It will be held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
