Former Prince Andrew’s recent arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office has prompted several members of the Republican Party to demand answers from Donald Trump regarding the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Multiple affiliates of the US President’s party have taken to social media to express their disappointment about the Trump administration making no arrests in the Epstein case.
Republicans call out Donald Trump after ex-Prince Andrew arrest
Lately, multiple Republicans have urged the POTUS to take action in the Epstein controversy, especially after the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky posted his take regarding the same on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Prince Andrew was just arrested. This was the metric I established for success of the Epstein Files Transparency Act that @RepRoKhanna and I got passed. Now we need JUSTICE in the United States.” He also called for US Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to take the necessary steps in the matter.
Similarly, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican, targeted Donald Trump’s inaction. She stated, “The UK has arrested Andrew because of the Epstein files and over here the President signed an EO protecting cancer causing Glyphosate in our foods and we have zero Epstein related arrest and investigations since release of the files. And we are on the verge of going to war against Iran. That’s the current state of MAGA and MAHA.”
Even General Mike Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, condemned the lack of arrests in the Epstein. He wrote on X, “If the Brits can arrest a royal, why can’t America arrest ____________? Provide a name please.”
Furthermore, Democratic politicians, including Representatives Melanie Stansbury and Stephen Lynch, have shared statements similar to those of the Republicans, calling out Donald Trump.
Notably, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on the count of misconduct in public office. Last year, he was also stripped of all his titles due to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
