Ex-Prince Andrew will reportedly secure himself a massive income source with the state pension after his 66th birthday, on Thursday, February 19. As reported by The Sun, members of the royal family generally cannot claim the benefits, funded by taxpayers. However, the former Duke of York will allegedly be able to claim the state pension as he made payments to National Insurance Contributions. It was reportedly during his time of his 22 years of service in the Royal Navy. The news came after the former Prince lost his royal titles and also had to leave his longtime residence, the Royal Lodge, after news of his scandalous past came to light.

In the meantime, former Prince Andrew now allegedly has the entitlement to draw his weekly pension after he officially turns into an OAP after his 66th birthday. Meanwhile, his brother, King Charles, has reportedly been eligible for the weekly windfall as well for eleven years due to his Navy service. However, the monarch allegedly donates the money to Age UK, a charity.

Per the news outlet, a royal expert, Phil Dampier, told them that “If Andrew wants to do the right thing and take steps to improve his reputation.” The person continued, “Then he would do well to donate his state pension to charity.” The expert further added, “Maybe even Eugenie’s charity combatting modern slavery and human trafficking The Anti-Slavery Collective.” It is yet to be known what Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will do with his pension money.
