Theo Von sat down with Chris Hemsworth for a chat on the latest episode of his This Past Weekend podcast. During the interview, the comedian gushed about the Marvel star’s looks with some hilarious remarks that soon went viral online.
At the beginning of the interview, when Von was adjusting his mic, the comedian made sure that fans got an unrestricted view of Hemsworth’s face. “Yeah, we want to see your face, dude,” Von joked, adding, “That’s what people want to see. You know what I’m saying, dude?”
Von further expressed how attractive Hemsworth is. “You’re freaking looksmaxxing, dude. It’s gotta be crazy being so handsome sometimes. I bet your mirror makes a positive sound,” said, drawing a laugh from the Thor actor.
Hemsworth did not hold back on the compliments either, telling Von, “You’re a handsome fellow, too, mate.” However, Von launched into a bit of self-deprecating humor, saying, “I don’t know, dude. Dude, I’m side of the road handsome. Like if people are going by at like 50 miles an hour, they’re like, ‘Hey, I think that guy was okay looking.'”
But Hemsworth disagreed and said, “I’m sitting right next to you, and I’m admiring what I see, mate.” The hilarious battle of compliments continued before the pair moved on to other topics.
Hemsworth recently returned to the big screen, starring in the 2026 thriller Crime 101, alongside fellow MCU star Mark Ruffalo. Other cast members of the movie include Monica Barbaro, Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte. Crime 101 was released on February 13.
