King of Drag Season 2 renewed at Revry
Variety reported that Revry renewed King of Drag for a second season. The show opened casting applications for Season 2 on Tuesday and will premiere the new season in the fall.
“The success of Season 1 made it clear that the reign of the drag kings is upon us,” Revry co-founder and chief creative officer Christopher J. Rodriguez stated. “This community has been vying for a platform to highlight their unique take on drag for years, and they’ve embraced the show as their own, which is such an honor for us. We’re also honored to welcome back e.l.f. Cosmetics as our presenting sponsor for the triumphant return of this beloved franchise. We could not hope for a better partner to join us in unleashing a new group of supremely talented drag kings onto the world stage.”
Murray Hill hosted Season 1. Sasha Velour, Gottmik, Tenderoni, and Wang Newton served as regular judges. Revry co-founder and CEO Damian Pelliccione was also part of the judging panel.
Further, guest judges included Cole Escola, Lisa Rinna, Paul Feig, Bridget Everett, Jeff Hiller, Landon Cider, and Vico Ortiz. King Molasses won the season after weeks of competition.
“‘King of Drag’ is giving this art form the global spotlight it’s always deserved,” Pelliccione said. He also noted that Season 1 showed a worldwide audience for the series, and added that Season 2 will introduce a new group of drag kings to viewers everywhere.
The first season surpassed 32 million views and generated over 30 million social media impressions, as per Revry. It also earned two nominations at the 2026 Queerty Awards.
