Chris Jones Eyes Tyreek Hill for Chiefs Reunion After Dolphins Release

The NFL offseason is heating up, and one of the biggest storylines revolves around Tyreek Hill‘s future. The Miami Dolphins have parted ways with the star wide receiver, and now he’s entering free agency. As fans wonder which team will land the speedy star next, Chris Jones is already making a strong pitch, tweeting in support of Hill’s reunion with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chris Jones rallies to have Tyreek Hill back in Chiefs

Chris Jones is throwing his weight behind a Tyreek Hill return to the Chiefs. The Kansas City Chiefs’ defensive lineman took to social media to recruit Hill back to Arrowhead, a clear sign that he’s keen on reuniting with his former teammate.

He promptly tagged the eight-time Pro Bowler’s X (formerly Twitter) account with a simple yet telling post. “It’s [time]” —using a clock emoji -” Chris Jones posted a tweet just hours after the Dolphins’ dropped the news of Tyreek Hill’s release.

The appeal is not merely nostalgic, as Jones is well aware of Hill’s significant contributions to the team. During his six years with the Chiefs, Tyreek Hill earned four All-Pro selections and contributed to the team’s Super Bowl LIV victory.

Kansas City has emerged as a prominent contender for Hill’s services, with ESPN identifying the Chargers as another probable destination. The latter now features Hill’s former Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, as offensive coordinator.

Tyreek Hill’s time with the Chiefs was a stellar start. He racked up over 1,000 receiving yards in four seasons. However, the Kansas City Chiefs shocked fans in March 2022 when they traded Hill to the Dolphins. He spent the last four seasons in Miami, just two months after KC’s AFC Championship loss to the Bengals.

Tyreek Hill suffered a devastating injury just four games into the season, tearing his left ACL and dislocating his knee, resulting in his release. Undeterred and confident in his ability to bounce back, he vowed to push forward, declaring “the journey doesn’t stop here” in an Instagram post on Monday.

While the wide receiver’s injury might make teams cautious, Chris Jones is still hopeful he’ll return to Kansas City.
