The ending of Tell Me Lies, Season 3, Episode 7, seems to have caused a huge uproar among the fandom, particularly due to the contentious sex scene that occurred between Wrigley and Pippa. In accordance, Spencer House, who portrays the popular football jock in the show, has come out to clear the air regarding his sequence with Sonia Mena’s Pippa.

During a recent interview, the 33-year-old actor confirmed that the Season 3 sex scene between Wrigley and Pippa was consensual, relieving all Tell Me Lies fans.
“I definitely think it is consensual,” Spencer House noted to Just Jared, before adding, “I don’t think this was against his will in any way…I think he still has a strong connection with her, and I think more than anything, he just wants to see her happy, and he doesn’t want to break her heart. So that’s why he does it, rather than [them being] romantic interests, and I think he does feel very guilty about what happens with Bree.”
Notably, in Tell Me Lies Season 3 Episode 7, Wrigley and Bree (Cat Missal) confess their feelings to one another and decide to break up with their respective partners. After Wrigley breaks the news to Pippa, he receives a distress call from her. She reveals that Diana (Alicia Crowder) has also parted ways with her and that she wants to spend the night with him to cope with the pain. Despite his love for Bree, Wrigley ends up sleeping with Pippa, complicating things for everyone.
Providing further context to the much-discussed sex scene between Pippa and Wrigley, Spencer House stated, “On the day [of filming], we were very careful about that. But at the end of the day, he very much makes the decision to have sex with her…I don’t think that’s what this story is. I think he does still love Pippa, maybe not romantically, but he is attracted to her, and he makes the decision to do so, I think.”
Meanwhile, Tell Me Lies Season 3 Episode 8 premieres on Hulu on February 17 at 12 AM ET.
