As per a source, Prince William seems to be seething over Meghan Markle’s move. Reports are floating that Prince Harry is planning a documentary to mark the 30th death anniversary of their late mother, Princess Diana, in August 2027, with Markle playing a central role behind the scenes. Harry is planning the documentary as a way to honor his mother’s legacy through a Netflix production, which the future monarch feels is “profoundly upsetting.”
An insider told RadarOnline that the Duke of Sussex is “completely resolute” about the project since he feels telling her late mother’s “story is something he’s entitled to do as her son,” and for this, he does not require a “sign-off from his brother.” The source added, “He resents the idea that anyone should police how he remembers Diana.”
But it is the “extent of Meghan’s involvement” that has “truly infuriated William.” “He sees her presence as crossing a deeply personal line and feels that allowing her to shape or profit from Diana’s legacy amounts to a profound betrayal of his mother’s memory,” the source revealed.
Harry’s move comes after he feels that Diana’s “story should be told outside of palace walls.” But this belief has placed him directly at odds with William, who dislikes the idea of his late mother’s memory being exploited. “From William’s point of view, this goes beyond anything that’s happened before. He sees it as a fundamental boundary being breached and finds the whole idea profoundly distasteful,” the insider added.
