50 Cent Doesn’t Talk About Politics Because of Kanye West

50 Cent explained why he prefers to avoid discussing politics and religion while promoting Moses the Black. Serving as the executive producer of the crime drama, he asked audiences not to take the film’s religious themes too seriously and instead view it as entertainment.

He shared that he stays away from such topics because he knows there will always be someone who won’t agree with them, while also providing an example of Kanye West.

50 Cent comments on Kanye West

During a screening, 50 Cent discussed his new film, Moses the Black, adding that while it explores religious themes, the movie is intended to be enjoyed primarily as entertainment rather than taken too seriously.

He noted that one should stay away from discussing the topics of politics and religion publicly. “There are two things they tell you to stay away from. They tell you to stay away from religion and stay away from politics, because no matter what you think, someone passionately disagrees with you,” he explained. Further referring to Ye, he added, “I stay away from those things. That’s how Kanye f***ed up.”

He then briefly also referenced Nicki Minaj, who recently drew attention for her comments against Don Lemon related to the ICE protests. She took to X (formerly Twitter) to write a note along with Chucky’s picture.

She wrote, “DON ‘C*** S**IN’ LEMON IS DISGUSTING. HOW DARE YOU? I WANT THAT THUG IN JAIL!!!!! HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO ANY OTHER RELIGION. LOCK HIM UP!!!!!” Lemon recently hit back at her for using a homophobic slur to call him out.

Directed by Yelena Popovic, Moses the Black follows a Chicago gang leader who comes out of prison to seek revenge for the murder of his closest friend. However, his rivals, cops, and past manage to catch up with him amid his mission. The film will release on January 30, 2026.
