Jimmy Fallon Mocks Donald Trump’s Nobel Prize Snub & McDonalds Diet

Jimmy Fallon recently mocked President Donald Trump during his Tonight Show monologue. He paired the political jab with jokes about Trump’s eating habits. The late-night host referenced Trump’s recent remarks surrounding the award while also poking fun at the president’s McDonalds diet.

Jimmy Fallon makes fun of Donald Trump

Jimmy Fallon turned his attention to President Donald Trump during Monday night’s Tonight Show. He used his monologue to criticize the president’s recent remarks surrounding a Nobel Peace Prize associated with Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. Fallon was among the few late-night hosts to air a new episode on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He opened by saying, “Today, President Trump said, ‘I think we can all agree MLK would want me to have his Nobel Peace Prize.’”

The host highlighted Trump’s claim that Machado had “offered” him her Nobel Peace Prize, immediately questioning the claims. Fallon said, “When asked why he wanted Machado’s Nobel Prize, Trump said, ‘She offered it to me.’” He added, “Yeah, ’cause you told her to. It’s the same reason your doctors let you eat fries inside the M.R.I. I mean, it’s not normal.”

After referencing the U.S. president’s diet, the late-night host jokingly highlighted the importance of the award to Trump. “It means a lot to Trump. He hung it on the wall right next to his McDonald’s Customer of the Month plaque,” he said.

During the segment, Fallon pointed out that the Nobel Committee has made clear the prize remains with its original recipient. He used that clarification for another punchline, saying Trump reacted by asking, “‘Wait, there’s prize money?’” The host additionally referenced Trump’s renewed talk about Greenland.

Fallon was not the only late-night host to reference Trump’s award. Jimmy Kimmel had previously taken a pointed jab at it as well.
