Justin Baldoni reportedly made It Ends With Us costar Isabela Ferrer “uncomfortable” with his remark over sex scenes. US Weekly released details from her deposition transcript, in which a lawyer allegedly asked the young actress if the director ever made her feel uneasy. According to the report, Baldoni has described an intimate scene between her and the male lead’s characters as “hot.”
As per the documents, Ferrer shared that she felt the comment was inappropriate in a work environment. She pointed out that the remark had nothing to do with her acting skills, hence it felt “out of place and strange to hear.” She explained that the particular scene was a “very innocent experience intimately” between two teenagers.
“It felt out of place to hear my director say that as a personal thing to me and my co-star,” she stated. While she played Blake Lively’s younger version, Lily Bloom, Alex Neustaedter portrayed the role of a teenage boy with whom she had been intimate for the first time.
“The way it was described in the script and kind of broken down with the intimacy coordinator is it shouldn’t have been sexy or hot or any term like that and it was much more so meant to be innocent, leaning more so towards a PG kind of intimate scene,” Ferrer reportedly mentioned in the document.
Furthermore, she also revealed another incident, related to a cookie-dough scene between the two young stars. She allegedly found Baldoni’s direction “inappropriate” for that segment, too.
