Euphoria Season 3’s trailer broke a major viewership record shortly after its release. The milestone highlights the continued popularity of the HBO series following its long hiatus and hints at strong anticipation for the upcoming season.
Euphoria Season 3 trailer breaks record with 100 million views in 2 days
HBO has secured a major early win for Euphoria Season 3, as the show’s first trailer delivered a record-setting debut across digital platforms. Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed that the preview garnered nearly 100 million views worldwide within its first 48 hours. This makes it the most-watched original series trailer launch in HBO Max history during that timeframe.
The achievement highlights the demand for the drama series despite a four-year hiatus between seasons. For comparison, The Last of Us Season 2 generated 158 million global cross-platform views in three days. Meanwhile, the final season of Game of Thrones reached 81 million views within 24 hours. The response to the new trailer highlights the continued interest in the series.
Season 3 is set to premiere on April 12 at 9 p.m. on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. Since its debut, Euphoria became one of HBO’s most-watched series. The Season 2 finale, which aired in 2022, drew a series-high 6.6 million viewers across HBO platforms, showing significant growth from the show’s first season.
Creator Sam Levinson has previously stated that the third season will move the story beyond high school. It will follow the characters as they navigate adulthood without the structure and safety of school. Levinson told The Hollywood Reporter, “The stakes are a bit higher than they were in the past because the consequences are real and no one’s gonna swoop in and save you.”
Returning cast members include Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney and Hunter Schafer. The new season will also introduce additional cast members, expanding the ensemble.
