Rob Shuter’s #NaughtyButNice on Substack exclusively reported that Timothee Chalamet believes fully embracing his relationship with Kylie Jenner could boost his awards-season chances, including an Oscar win. A source told Shuter, “Timothée thinks people are stuck in the past,” adding, “He doesn’t see Kylie as tabloid baggage — he sees her as cultural power.”
Per the report, Chalamet is someone who understands fame and doesn’t fear the Kardashian-Jenner spotlight. While some still assume that reality-TV level attention can hurt one’s Hollywood standing, the source claimed he sees it differently — as reach and a steady presence that voters notice.
Another source told Shuter, “Awards campaigns are about narrative.” Besides, “Timothée believes Kylie strengthens his story, not weakens it.”
Moreover, Shuter’s report suggests that Chalamet plans to stay visible with Jenner throughout the season, instead of dodging cameras or keeping distance at public events. An insider teased, “You’re going to see them everywhere,” adding, “Red carpets, parties, industry dinners — Timothée wants voters to associate him with stability, success, and cultural dominance.”
Even so, a source claimed that insiders are warning Chalamet, because “Some people think aligning too closely with Kylie could alienate traditionalists.”
Still, another insider says Timothee Chalamet believes Kylie Jenner’s level of fame fits the way Hollywood works now: “He looks at how fame works now — social reach, conversation, global recognition — and Kylie wins that game better than anyone.”
As for Jenner, one source claimed she supports Chalamet but was aware of the balance. In that, “Kylie knows when to step back and when to show up,” and “That’s part of why Timothée trusts her so much.”
