During a conversation on The Joe Rogan Experience, the host initially reflected on his experience of meeting UFC stars, describing them as “the sweetest, nicest, friendliest people in the world.” The Good Will Hunting actor agreed before recalling his meeting with Cejudo. He revealed that he once went to an event in LA, further adding that it was likely Staples. He was backstage and was conversing with one of the lawyers for the UFC. At the time, they were talking about Conor McGregor, with the lawyer further revealing an interesting story about him.

Damon further added, “This guy walks up, and he’s in chinos, like khaki pants, and like a blue button-up kind of business shirt with spectacles. He’s very small, and I kind of don’t really regard him, and I’m still hearing this story.”

Then, Patrick asks Damon whether he knows Cejudo. He then turns around and shares what he thought about his first impression of him. He added, “I’m like, ‘this f—ing guy could wreck me right now. Absolutely f—ing destroy me. And he is the guy that some dummy would try to pick on, you know what I mean?” Explaining Cejudo’s calm demeanor, he explained briefly, “He’s not carrying himself like he’s [a tough guy], he just is the thing.”

Apart from sharing their UFC fighters’ experiences, Damon, Affleck, and Rogan also reflected on the cancel culture and how it affects celebrities during their over two-hour-long conversation.
