All Her Fault Star Joins Apple TV Thriller Series as a Mole

Apple TV has ordered a new thriller series, and its cast and crew have started shaping up. The upcoming series, currently untitled, will star Dakota Fanning, who will also serve as one of the executive producers. Notably, Fanning recently featured in Peacock’s limited series, All Her Fault, which not only received positive reviews but also garnered multiple award nominations, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Limited Series.

Dakota Fanning to star in new Apple TV thriller show

Dakota Fanning will star in a new Apple TV thriller series coming from Alex Cary, best known for his work on projects like Homeland and A Spy Among Friends, and Sony Pictures Television, the streaming service announced.

Apart from creating the series, Cary will also assume showrunning duties thanks to his overall deal with Sony Pictures Television and his FLW Productions banner. Joining him and Fanning as executive producers are Bad Wolf America’s Julie Gardner, Fanning’s sister and fellow actress Elle Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward of Lewellen Pictures (which the Fanning sisters co-founded), and Kari Skogland.

In the series, Fanning will portray a treasury agent who goes undercover within a multibillion-dollar international conglomerate that has “world-changing political and criminal tentacles.” As mentioned in the official announcement, her character “becomes conflicted between her mission and a belief that her principal target, the heir apparent to all that corrupt power, is at his core a good man and worthy of her love.”

The new series is one of Fanning’s two upcoming projects for Apple TV. Through Lewellen Pictures, she is executive producing David E. Kelley’s drama show, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, featuring Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman. Based on Rufi Thorpe’s 2024 novel of the same name, the upcoming series will be released in April 2026. In addition to Fanning and Kidman, the series will also star Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, Thaddea Graham, and Greg Kinnear.
