Ex-Prince Andrew’s Scandal Costing Daughters Major Family Asset — Source

Ex-Prince Andrew‘s daughters have reportedly been upset over losing their home, the Royal Lodge. Following past controversies, King Charles stripped his brother of his royal title and allegedly asked him to move out of his Windsor home. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie considered the property a family asset. However, according to a source, letting it go has reportedly made the girls “angry.”

Ex-Prince Andrew’s daughters losing out on ‘easy life in retirement,’ per source

Ex-Prince Andrew’s daughters — Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie — have allegedly been unhappy with the decision over Royal Lodge. According to RadarOnline, the 65-year-old secured a 75-year lease on the Windsor property in 2003. Despite his divorce from his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, they stayed at the same mansion.

However, due to Andrew’s controversial past, he was asked to leave the 31-room property set. This did not seem to go down well with his daughters, who considered it a family asset. A source noted, “There was an expectation that Royal Lodge would one day benefit Beatrice and Eugenie, even if only as a safety net. That has now gone completely.”

Since 2008, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has lived at Royal Lodge with Sarah Ferguson and their two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. They reportedly didn’t expect that the king would reclaim it for the Crown Estate.

The insider added, “[Beatrice and Eugenie] are angry because this is not about extravagance. It was about long-term security that has been wiped out. Their dream of an easy life in retirement is now gone.”

Meanwhile, an earlier report suggested that the former Duke of York has been doing all he can to stay at Royal Lodge. According to a tipster, he “never wanted to leave” the estate and hence, has allegedly been trying to delay moving out. Moreover, the details of his next accommodation have not yet been revealed.
