Kai Cenat Clashed With Twitch CEO Over This Reason

Kai Cenat shared a clip on social media in which he clashed with Twitch CEO Dan Clancy at The Streamer Awards 2025. In a clip, titled “No Accountability,” Cenat confronted Clancy for not including his name in his Mount Rushmore of streamers. In response, Clancy offered his side of the explanation, but Cenat did not seem satisfied with the answer.

Kai Cenat and Twitch CEO argue in leaked clip

Kai Cenat and Twitch CEO Dan Clancy reportedly clashed at The Streamer Awards 2025.

For those unversed, back in October, Clancy appeared on Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 stream to congratulate him on reaching one million subscribers. Cenat asked Clancy to name streamers who would feature on his dream list of “Streamer Mount Rushmore” (via Dexerto).

At the time, Clancy named Cenat, Ninja, Pokimane, and mentioned IShowSpeed but soon replaced him with CohnCarnage. However, in another stream with Mizkif, Clancy backtracked on his decision to include Cenat’s name on the list. He also revealed that he had simply put the 24-year-old streamer’s name because Cenat had “asked” him.

It seems like Clancy’s sudden change of heart upset the New York-based streamer, as he reportedly confronted him over the matter at The Streamer Awards. In the clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), Clancy approached Cenat and immediately clarified his stance on the issue. He told him, “I guarantee you it was edited.” However, Cenat immediately shot back, saying, “It didn’t look edited.”

Clancy continued, “Did he tell you what I said? No, no, I’ll tell you what I said. I’ll tell you exactly what I said. Miz gave his Mount Rushmore, right? And then he gave, like, the OGs. He gave, like, Sodapoppin and Reckful, and all these OGs, and I said, ‘Oh, I guess, for some people, Mount Rushmore is for the OGs.’”

The 24-year-old streamer replied “yeah,” listening to the CEO’s explanation earnestly. Clancy explained further, “Okay? And so, if that is your thing, then Kai and Speed aren’t at the top of the peak now. No, I said, ‘If they are on top at the peak now, they wouldn’t be on Mount Rushmore.’”

However, it appeared that Cenat wasn’t buying Clancy’s clarification. He reiterated his previous claims to Clancy, who remained adamant in his stance that his response was “edited.”
