Leonardo DiCaprio’s Movie With 94% RT Score Is a Huge Hit on Streaming

Leonardo DiCaprio’s 2025 film has found huge success on streaming following its addition to HBO Max’s content library. One Battle After Another came out in U.S. theaters on September 26, 2025, after its world premiere on September 8, 2025, at the TCL Chinese Theatre. The movie began streaming on HBO Max in December.

One Battle Another is at the #1 spot on the Top 10 streaming movies on HBO Max as of January 13, 2026, as reported by FlixPatrol. The movie currently has a popularity score of 554. Some of the other movies on the HBO Max Top 10 list are How to Train Your Dragon (2025), Clown in a Cornfield (2025), Hit Man (2024), Karate Kid: Legends (2025), How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014), The Last Ashes (2023), Shrek (2001), River Wild (2023), and Jurassic World Rebirth (2025).

Award-winning filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson directed the black comedy action thriller feature from a script he penned. The plot revolves around DiCaprio’s “Ghetto” Pat Calhoun / Rocketman / Bob Ferguson, an ex-revolutionary who gets thrust back into his former life to protect his daughter. The cast also includes Chase Infiniti as Willa Ferguson / Charlene Calhoun, Sean Penn as Col. Steven J. Lockjaw, Benicio del Toro as Sergio St. Carlos, Teyana Taylor as Perfidia Beverly Hills, and Regina Hall as Deandra / Lady Champagne.

Following its theatrical release, the movie garnered widespread critical acclaim and currently has a 94% approval rating on the review-aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes. It also made over $206 million at the global box office. In his review, ComingSoon’s Jonathan Sim gave One Battle After Another a seven out of 10 rating. “For all its occasional flaws, One Battle After Another is still a film worth celebrating,” Sim wrote. “It’s proof that even when Anderson isn’t operating at his very peak, he’s still delivering work that crackles with energy, wit, and vision.”
