Florida Gov. candidate James Fishback, meanwhile, announced a plan to impose a 50% tax on income earned by creators in the adult content industry. The first-time candidate claimed in a video that he will use what he calls “Sin Tax” to fund education.
“As Florida governor in year one, I will push for the first-of-its-kind Only Fans Sin Tax,” he said, “If you are a so-called Only Fans creator in Florida, you are going to pay 50% to the state on whatever you so-called earn via that online degeneracy platform.” He further added, “We will raise hundreds of millions of dollars in income on the OnlyFans Sin Tax.”
The candidate reshared this video and called out Sophie Rain. He wrote, “Hey @SophieRaiin, Pay up or quit OnlyFans. As Florida Governor, I will not allow a generation of smart and capable young women to sell their bodies online.”
Sophie Rain responded to this by sharing the tweet on X and writing, “Sounds like you subscribed and got buyer’s remorse after dropping your annual salary on an OF girl.”
