Kai Cenat, the Twitch streamer who won the “Just Chatting” streamer of the year at the 2025 Streamer Awards, reignited speculations about his retirement with his latest YouTube video, “I Quit.”
After reading the title, fans initially panicked and interpreted it as Cenat making an official announcement to step away from streaming. However, the 23-minute-long video serves as an announcement for something more significant, alongside his upcoming clothing brand, Vivet.
The video opens with Cenat introspecting on his life and confessing to overthinking unfulfilled goals. He says, “I quit thinking in my head of the goals I want to achieve and not pursuing them because I’m primarily known for one thing.” Later, he has an emotional speech with his mother, confiding in her about his ongoing concerns. He admits that he’s “not depressed or sad,” but rather battling the fear of failure outside content creation.
During their conversation, the video transitions to Italy, where he claimed to have spent a significant amount of time working on his clothing brand. Footages show him interacting with people in the factory, trying on new shoes and clothes and brainstorming new ideas. The video also showcased the various streaming-related awards that he won in the last few years.
On December 11, 2025, he posted a video in which he spoke about his struggle with self-doubt and fright. He expressed his intentions to “do more.” He said, “I’ve [come] to realize that I’m a true creator, and I’m very passionate about creating. I have other goals and things that I just want to achieve, and do more of.”
Cenat is currently the most followed streamer on Twitch with over 20 million subscribers. His last official stream was Mafiathon 3, which concluded on September 30, 2025.
