Trevor Noah is all set to host the Grammys this year as well. The Recording Academy announced on January 13 that the comedian will host the coveted music awards for the sixth consecutive year. Trevor Noah set to host the Grammys for the sixth time
Trevor Noah will be hosting the Grammys for the sixth and final time. He will also serve as an executive producer for the coveted music awards. Grammys executive producer Ben Winston revealed, “I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time. He’s been the most phenomenal host of the show. He’s so smart, so funny, and such a true fan of the artists and music. His impact on the show has been truly spectacular, and we can’t wait to do it together one last time.” (via The Hollywood Reporter).
Not only that, this will be the last time the coveted awards will air on CBS after a decades-long partnership. The Grammys will move over to ABC and Disney+ next year. Notably, the streaming giant will carry the Grammys through the next decade, until 2036.
Noah took over the mantle from singer Alicia Keys, who hosted the Grammys in 2019 and 2020. The 41-year-old comedian skillfully navigated the post-COVID-19 environment and made the musical attendees and nominees comfortable with his wit and warmth. Previously, only singer Andy Williams hosted the Grammys seven times in the 1970s, outnumbering Noah’s enviable record. (via AP News).
Interestingly, Noah is a four-time Grammy nominee himself. This year, the comedian is nominated in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category for “Into The Uncut Grass,” a children’s story. Moreover, Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with a whopping nine nominations for his sixth album, GNX.
Lady Gaga producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff follow with an impressive seven nominations. Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Leon Thomas trail with six nominations to their names. (via PEOPLE). The 2026 Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network. Additionally, fans can also stream the show live on Paramount+.
