Days of Our Lives Fires 4 Stars in Major Shakeup To Cast

Significant changes are coming to Days of Our Lives. Reports confirm that several major stars are set to exit the long-running soap. This will mark one of the biggest cast shakeups in the show’s recent years.

Which actors are leaving Days of Our Lives

According to reports confirmed by Soap Opera Digest, the exits come as part of long-term storytelling plans. The four actors leaving the series are Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera), Raven Bowens (Chanel Dupree), Ashley Puzemis (Holly Jonas), and Leo Howard (Tate Black).

The reports revealed that the four actors learned of their departures when the show returned from its holiday break. However, because the show films far in advance, fans won’t see these exits on screen until late 2026 or early 2027.

Still, fans should prepare for the end of two popular couples: Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree, and Tate Black and Holly Jonas. A spokesperson for the show addressed the situation, saying, “While we don’t comment on individual contracts or casting decisions, we have tremendous respect and appreciation for the actors who bring these characters to life.”

“What may seem sudden is part of long-range storytelling decisions. Our goal is to balance the show’s rich history with where we’re headed creatively. Due to our long tape-to-air gap, any changes won’t be on screen for some time,” they added.

Among the four, Raven Boatman has been on the show the longest. She joined in March 2021 as Chanel Dupree, the daughter of Paulina. Carson Boatman followed later that year, debuting as Johnny DiMera, the son of Sami and EJ.

Meanwhile, Ashley Puzemis took over the role of Holly Jonas in October 2023, while Leo Howard joined in April 2024 as Tate Black, Brady’s son. All four characters are legacy roles that were born on the show and later aged up.

So far, the show has not revealed how these characters will exit. However, fans can expect emotional and dramatic storylines to unfold as their departures approach over the coming months.
