‘Worst Human Being’: Mark Ruffalo Blasts Donald Trump at Golden Globes

Veteran Hollywood star Mark Ruffalo criticized the Trump administration and President Donald Trump at the Golden Globes following the shooting death of Renee Nicole Good. Ruffalo, who attended the ceremony wearing a pin in support of the 37-year-old mother, did not hold back in his remarks about the incident.

This year’s Golden Globes red carpet saw several celebrities with pins reading “BE GOOD” and “ICE OUT.” Mark Ruffalo and Wanda Sykes were among those sporting them.

The pins are in response to Renee Nicole Goode’s shooting death on Wednesday. The 37-year-old was shot to death by an ICE agent during a large-scale federal immigration operation. This operation involves approximately 2,000 agents in the Twin Cities. The killing has garnered widespread backlash since.

Ruffalo has been a vocal critic of the government in the past. He said, “This is for Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered.” He went on to call out President Donald Trump directly (via USA Today). “We’re in the middle of a war with Venezuela that we illegally invaded. He’s telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him. The only thing that matters to him is his own morality, but the guy is a convicted felon,” the Hulk actor said.

He further added, “He’s the worst human being. If we’re relying on this guy’s morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we’re all in a lot of trouble.”

“So this is for her,” he concluded, “This is for the people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today. I know I’m one of them. I love this country. And what I’m seeing here happening is not America.”

The Marvel star was not the only one who spoke up against this incident. Wanda Sykes was also very vocal about her stance on the matter. She, too, spoke out against the government, claiming that “we need” to “speak up and shut this” down.

The killing of Renee Nicole Good has drawn attention from across the world and sparked broader discussion about immigration enforcement policies.
