Pluribus Star Gives Exciting Season 2 Production Update

Rhea Seehorn has shed light on the much-anticipated Season 2 of Pluribus. In a recent interview, the Better Call Saul star opened up about the progress on the sequel season of Vince Gilligan’s latest post-apocalyptic sci-fi series, confirming that work on the follow-up edition has already commenced.

Rhea Seehorn says Pluribus team is ‘back in the writers’ room’ to work on Season 2

While speaking with Deadline, following her win in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama category at the 2026 Golden Globes, Seehorn revealed that the Pluribus writers have started charting out the script for the second season.

She confirmed that the team behind the hit Apple TV series is “back in the writers’ room.” Seehorn also noted that Gilligan is actively working towards piecing together Pluribus Season 2, stating, “I know he wants us to go as soon as possible. He’s not playing any kind of game to make people wait for this. But he wants to craft the show with all the care for his fans and the people following this story that he can. So we’ll get back as fast as we can.”

Seehorn’s production update regarding Pluribus Season 2 comes after Vince Gilligan’s comments about the sequel, where he disclosed, “We’re working on it. It takes us a while. I would love to go faster if I could.” Talking to Entertainment Weekly back in December 2025, the acclaimed filmmaker also added, “As much as I am so grateful for the fans digging this show, we’ve always found our best way to proceed is to be in our bunker creating this thing and not pay too much attention to reactions of any sort, positive or negative.”

Apple TV had already renewed Pluribus for Season 2, even before its release. As such, the sequel season will come out in due time on the renowned streaming platform. However, the release date window for the follow-up edition remains uncertain for the time being.
