Night Court begins streaming on Netflix in February 2026
Netflix is set to expand its sitcom catalog in early 2026 with the addition of Night Court, bringing the complete three-season run of the NBC reboot to streaming. All episodes of the series will be available on Netflix beginning February 3, 2026, as per What’s on Netflix. This gives fans a new opportunity to rewatch the show following its conclusion on broadcast television.
The comedy reboot aired from January 2023 to May 2025 and was created by Reinhold Weege, with Dan Rubin serving as showrunner. It reimagines the classic 1980s courtroom comedy for a new generation, focusing on Judge Abby Stone, portrayed by Melissa Rauch. Abby is the daughter of the late Judge Harry Stone and takes over the night shift at a Manhattan arraignment court. Determined to lead with empathy and optimism, Abby navigates the challenges of a courtroom staffed with cynics.
Besides Rauch, the series’s other cast members include India de Beaufort as Olivia, John Larroquette as Dan Fielding, Lacretta as Donna “Gurgs” Gurganous, and Nyambi Nyambi as Wyatt Shaw, among others. Critically, Night Court received a mixed response during its NBC run. The first season earned a 74 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the audience reaction was more divided, with a 44 percent audience rating.
Tara Bennett of IGN Movies wrote, “While it certainly ticks the boxes for comfort food TV, and John Larroquette has done some interesting things with his curmudgeonly Dan Fielding, there’s ultimately nothing actually funny that comes from transplanting a very ‘80s series into 2023.”
