Tom Cruise is reportedly unwilling to fully close the door on his connection with Ana de Armas. According to a new report, the veteran actor remains invested in future movie collaborations with her and has not entirely moved on.

The Top Gun star is reportedly still holding on to plans to collaborate with Ana de Armas, despite setbacks surrounding their proposed film, Deeper. The ocean-set thriller has been put on hold due to budget constraints and unresolved directing issues.

However, Globe reported that the project remains very much on Tom Cruise’s mind, along with his ties to de Armas. Despite the personal split, sources now claim he is reluctant to walk away from professional plans involving the Blonde actress.

According to insiders, “Tom’s not quite ready to give up on the movie he planned to make with Ana. He’s totally consumed with getting his next big movie locked down, and Ana is still signed up to be part of that with him.”

The publication also reported that the challenges surrounding Deeper reflect broader realities in Hollywood. They said, “Tom and Ana had grand plans to make and promote movies together, but all of that is running up against the hard realities of Hollywood in 2026. Every penny counts, and it’s incredibly hard to get a movie green-lit even for Tom.”

Per the insider, the Mission: Impossible actor needs to be cautious not to rush the partnership or take it for granted. “If he can control himself, and get this movie made, maybe he and Ana will have another chance,” they said.

Notably, Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas were photographed together last year during a trip to Vermont, where the Ballerina actress owns a home. Their relationship was later reported to have ended after several months.
