Donald Trump’s Son Barron ‘Focused’ on Ditching His Slovenian Accent — Source

Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron, is reportedly making a conscious effort to soften his Slovenian accent as he settles into young adulthood. The 19-year-old, who has largely stayed out of the public eye, is said to be focused on fitting in with his peers in the United States while becoming more confident in how he speaks.

Barron Trump has been reportedly taking elocution lessons as part of that effort. The goal, Rob Shuter sources claim, is not public performance but personal confidence. “Barron is very focused on how he presents himself now. He’s thoughtful, deliberate, and wants to be confident when he speaks, but he does it quietly, without drawing attention.”

The renewed attention comes years after viral footage of Barron as a four-year-old circulated online. In the clip, he can be heard speaking with a noticeable Slovenian accent while playing with his parents, Donald Trump and Melania Trump, memorably saying, “I like my suitcase.”

However, unlike his older brothers, Donald Jr. and Eric, Barron has consistently avoided the spotlight. While he did attend several rallies during his father’s presidential run last year, he rarely addressed crowds. Sources describe him as reserved and intentional about maintaining his privacy.

Another source alleged the role his mother has played in that approach. “He stays away from the spotlight whenever possible. He’s very aware of his privacy, and his mother makes sure it stays that way. Melania is fiercely protective of him,” the source said.

Moreover, that protectiveness reportedly shaped Barron’s upbringing. He was raised primarily by his mother and grandparents, who emphasized shielding him from constant public scrutiny. “She’s always been hands-on, making sure he’s safe and grounded,” the source added. “That means guidance, protection and helping him navigate the world on his own terms, alongside the grandparents who were there from day one.”

Barron currently attends classes at New York University’s Washington campus.
