Jane the Virgin alum Gina Rodriguez started the new year with a special celebration—welcoming her second baby. The actress recently took to social media to announce the birth of her new daughter with husband and co-star Joe LoCicero.

On December 31, Gina Rodriguez shared a heartwarming Instagram post announcing the arrival of her second baby, Lucille Edith LoCicero. The post featured several photos of her newborn baby and her husband, Joe LoCicero, along with a caption. The Someone Great actress wrote, “2025 gave me Her. Lucille Edith LoCicero. I love you forever baby girl.”
Rodriguez and LoCicero, who have been married since 2019, are already parents to a son, Charlie Ray, whom they welcomed in 2023. The pair has also previously starred together in multiple projects, such as Someone Great in 2019 and Players in 2024.
Before Charlie was born, she had revealed in another interview that LoCicero was training to be a doula. She said, “My husband is training to be a doula—my doula. He’s really next level,” (via Entertainment Tonight).
In 2024, after she welcomed her Charlie, Rodriguez opened up about her experience as a mother. “It’s freaking like, every emotion on a million,” the actress told the publication. “It is everything everywhere all at once. One hundred percent. It is the most phenomenal, exhilarating, from like, viscerally, from the core of my soul, and equally has petrifying.”
Rodriguez made her acting debut in 2005 and later appeared on shows like Law & Order. She gained recognition with her breakthrough role as Jane Villanueva in Jane the Virgin. She has also notably appeared in Calling It Quits, Army Wives, The Mentalist, The Bold and the Beautiful, Natalie Portman, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, among others.
Meanwhile, LoCicero, also an actor, is best known for his portrayal of Vincent Walker on The Bold and the Beautiful.
