McDonald’s will reportedly collaborate with Pokémon TCG for Happy Meals in 2026. According to reliable insider PokeBeach, the collaboration will commemorate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations. While the exact dates of the collab are unclear, cards will allegedly return to Happy Meals.
McDonald’s x Pokémon TCG collab leaked online
A list of Happy Meals crossovers for 2026 has been circulating on the internet. Out of those, the one with Pokémon TCG has been confirmed by PokeBeach. The promotion will reportedly run from February to March next year, which makes sense considering Pokémon Day is on February 27. The Pokemon Red and Green games debuted on that date.
Although McDonald’s Pokémon card promotions run worldwide, different regions schedule them at varying times throughout the year. As of now, there is no confirmation about where the promotion will run in February and March. Since it coincides with the anniversary celebration, McDonald’s could run it in as many places as possible.
Usually, for such promotions, customers receive a small booster pack containing cards. Sometimes, one of the cards is a holographic card featuring a reflective foil effect. The franchise is expected to do something similar to what they did in 2021 for their 25th anniversary. Customers could pull 50 cards, out of which 24 were Starters, as well as both holo and non-holo cards featuring Pikachu.
In January this year, McDonald’s Japan released a card with exclusive artwork that showed Pikachu with a burger. There is no confirmation regarding whether or not the card’s English version will be available as part of the upcoming promotion. However, considering how the huge demand led to mass chaos last time, the chances are slim.
According to a leaked McDonald’s 2026 line-up shared by the X account @TCGTracker, fans may also receive Mario toys in April, timed with the theatrical release of “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie”. McDonald’s is also expected to have a Sonic x Hello Kitty crossover from August to September.
