ChatGPT Releases Year-End Review Like Spotify Wrapped

ChatGPT has introduced a year-end review, akin to Spotify Wrapped, which has remained one of the most popular features of the app. The OpenAI-owned Chatbot will now feature a “Your Year with ChatGPT” to eligible consumers in eligible markets. The present areas of access include the United States.

ChatGPT launches year-end review

ChatGPT has become the latest app to provide a year-end review, a feature that has been growing over the years. The OpenAI chatbot also becomes the first AI assistant to offer this feature in the mainstream market. So far, Spotify has seen great fanfare for the feature. Many other applications have also started this over the past years.

The feature is reportedly inspired by the likes of Spotify Wrapped. It will be provided to users with free, Plus, and Pro plans who have the “reference saved memories” and “reference chat history” options turned on. The year-end review will also depend on a minimum conversation threshold (via TechCrunch).

However, Team, Enterprise, or Education accounts will not be able to use this feature. OpenAI has claimed that they want this experience to be “lightweight, privacy-forward, and user-controlled.”

Moreover, OpenAI is going to use catchy graphics and intuitive awards to grab the attention of consumers, much like Spotify Wrapped. The awards will be based on how the users have used ChatGPT throughout the year. TechCrunch notes that there will be titles like Creative Debugger, awarded to those who use the chatbot to come up with solutions to a problem.

The year-end review from ChatGPT will also create a poem and an image about the user’s topics of interest and usage. Notably, the feature will reportedly not be enforced upon users, but will rather be promoted in the homescreen of the web and mobile app. Additionally, users can also ask ChatGPT directly for “Your Year with ChatGPT” to trigger the experience.

The areas that are reportedly getting this ChatGPT feature include the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
