Chrissy Teigen Gives Closer Look at Christmas Gone Wrong

Chrissy Teigen’s holiday prep took an unexpected and hilariously relatable turn this week after a tooth mishap landed her in the dentist’s chair. The model and author shared the moment on Instagram, laughing through the mini-crisis as she documented both the accident and the speedy fix that followed.

The chaos unfolded as Chrissy Teigen was filming a holiday activity for her four children — Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren — at their home. In a video jokingly titled “Growing Candy Cane (Gone wrong),” she showed her kids filling small pots with crushed Oreo cookies and candy cane pieces for a Christmas-themed game.

But the cheerful scene took a sharp turn when Teigen attempted to crack open a candy cane and felt one of her veneers pop off. Sharing the moment with her followers, the TV personality displayed her old front tooth and burst into laughter. “I tried to open one of these bad boys… my tooth fell off,” she said, still amused by the accident. She explained that the veneer had come off in a single piece.

Teigen joked that the mishap was all part of motherhood. “This is what moms do for their kids,” she said, noting that she had been trying to create a little holiday magic. But the timing couldn’t have been worse. The very next day was her children’s Winter Sing recital.

In another clip, the 40-year-old filmed herself in the car wearing a face mask to hide the gap in her smile. “Had to go to recital like this,” she wrote, prompting husband John Legend to leave a string of laughing emojis in the comments.

Fortunately, the dental emergency didn’t last long. Teigen later updated fans from the dentist’s chair, where her cosmetic dentist refitted the veneer. “We are back in business,” she wrote, thanking the “tooth goat” for the quick fix.

Before saying goodbye to the old tooth for good, Chrissy Teigen snapped one last sentimental, playful photo of herself smiling next to her daughter, Luna. “Was cool to say hi to my old tooth for a while,” she captioned.
