According to Judi James, Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge may have been putting on a show for the cameras before their reported split. The expert told Daily Mail that the pair’s Halloween appearance suggested that the singer may have still believed the relationship was “worth investing in.”
James also observed that the pair were indulging in “playful” poses, indicating an endearing relationship. However, things changed a few weeks later. As per James, the couple looked “more rigid and less relaxed” as they arrived at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in November. As per James, “Their facial expressions seem to define diverse stages of emotional involvement as a couple.”
James also noted that the “Deja Vu” singer “might not have been aware of any split making its way along the horizon.” This was because Rodrigo appeared more emotionally engaged than Partridge.
However, James suggested, this behaviour could also have been a conscious “performance” intended for the cameras so that she could “make her appear OK to bluff the press.” According to James, the pose she struck with Partridge appeared happy on the surface. However, it could be a rehearsed response designed to hide her true emotions. Also, to present herself as calm and composed while under pressure.
