Mr. Robot is leaving Netflix in January 2026
Netflix will soon remove Mr. Robot from its streaming library, as reported by What’s on Netflix. The series is scheduled to leave the service on January 3, 2026, giving viewers a limited window to watch all four seasons before they are removed.
Created by Sam Esmail, Mr. Robot originally aired on the USA Network from 2015 to 2019 and spanned 45 episodes. The series centers on Elliot Alderson, a socially withdrawn but highly skilled cybersecurity engineer who spends his nights operating as a vigilante hacker. His life takes a dramatic turn when he is recruited by an enigmatic anarchist figure to join an underground hacker group.
Elliot is asked to help dismantle corporate America, including the very company he is paid to protect. Pulled into the group’s plans, Elliot faces a moral conflict between his job and his personal beliefs. As he becomes more deeply involved, he begins to question the true intentions behind the operation.
Mr. Robot generated a positive critical reaction throughout its entire run, with the series earning an exceptionally high average Rotten Tomatoes score across all four seasons. The show’s average approval rating across all seasons stands at 94 percent, with Season 1 holding a 98 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes. The series went on to win multiple awards, including Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and a Peabody Award, while also developing a devoted cult following.
Rami Malek’s performance as Elliot Alderson was widely praised and marked a turning point in his career. Following the show’s success, Malek transitioned into high-profile film roles in blockbuster hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, No Time to Die, and Oppenheimer.
