During one of the auditions, Chalamet shared a new detail about his ancestry, revealing his connection to Jamaica. The revelation took fans by surprise, with many impressed by his knowledge of his roots.

During Druski’s latest Coulda Been Records episode in Brooklyn, Timothée Chalamet revealed a new detail about his ancestry. As a woman entered and spoke to Druski about herself, they discussed where she is from. The actor-comedian then said to her, “Okay, you’re Jamaican. You know he’s 2% Jamaican,” as he pointed toward Chalamet. The Dune actor then confirmed it, saying, “2% yeah.” Druski interrupted, “I swear to God. Why do you think he says ‘Chalamet’? Girl, that’s f****g Jamaican, duh.”

Chalamet then revealed his connection to Jamaica, explaining, “I had a great-grandfather from Kingston. Kingston, Jamaica.” Further, addressing a popular Jamaican song, he said, “What’s that song? Bend over?” reciting a few lines from the song. The song in question is Bend Over by RDX, which came out almost 16 years ago. While the girl got taken away by Druski’s two masked security guards, the interaction resulted in fans learning a new fact about the Marty Supreme actor.

Chalamet’s film Marty Supreme comes out in theaters on December 25, 2025. He also wore a Marty Supreme hoodie to the set, promoting his film directed by Josh Safdie. For months, Druski has toured cities for Season 2 of Coulda Been Records, where locals showcase talents to impress him.

Chalamet’s fans also took to the comments section of Druski’s video, addressing his appearance on the show. One fan wrote, “Timmy just doing anything to get ppl to watch this movie,” while another commented, “Timothee Chalamet is a man of the people.”
