Chris Evans is Returning in Avengers: Doomsday & Fans Are Losing It

Chris Evans is all set to return in Avengers: Doomsday, reprising his popular role as Steve Rogers. However, Steve will now return with a newborn child. Interestingly, Evans embraced fatherhood recently when he and his wife, Alba Baptista, became parents to their firstborn, Alma Grace.

Fans react to Chris Evans returning in Avengers: Doomsday as beloved character

Evans is returning as the beloved Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday. His character-focused teaser was attached to the recently released Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Doomsday will hit cinemas next year, but fans are already excited to witness their favorite character on screen again. However, in a real-meets-reel moment, Steve will return with a newborn baby, similar to Evans embracing fatherhood in real life.

One fan commented, “The only real Captain America.”  A second fan wondered, “Seeing Evans back as Cap is huge! I wonder how they’ll address the timeline after Endgame. Maybe a multiverse twist?” A third fan wrote, “Oh we are so back Marvel fans.”

A fourth fan remarked, “This isn’t nostalgia, it’s gravity pulling Steve Rogers back when it matters most. We all know it’s true.” Finally, one fan penned, “Captain America back on the big screen  feels right. Can’t wait.”

There will reportedly be more teasing in the coming days and weeks. Fans who went to watch Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters got to see the Steve Rogers-centric teaser, set on a quiet farm. It shows Rogers riding a motorcycle as the Avengers theme music plays in the background.

His blue helmet will remind fans of his iconic red, blue, and white Captain America costume. Rogers gently runs his fingers over it. In the next shot, Rogers cradles his newborn child in his arms, and the teaser fades to black.

The text reads, “Steve Rogers will return for Avengers: Doomsday.” A countdown begins for December 18, 2026, when the film will hit cinemas.
