Per an industry insider, Supergirl reportedly features a cameo from a major Hollywood actor. The upcoming DCU film will release in the summer of 2026. It adapts Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s comic, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Milly Alcock headlines the film as the eponymous protagonist. She leads a supporting cast that includes Matthias Schoenarts, Eve Ridley, and Jason Momoa, among many others.
Seth Rogen said to have a cameo in Supergirl movie
In the latest episode of John Rocha’s The Hot Mic podcast, Jeff Sneider claimed, citing his source, that Seth Rogen has a voice cameo in Supergirl. However, Sneider said he didn’t know who the actor and producer was voicing in the film, and that he didn’t bother asking his source.
Speculation suggested that The Studio actor was voicing Krypto in the film. However, Sneider later said on X (formerly Twitter) that he was told that Rogen wasn’t voicing Krypto.
Ultimately, this is only a rumor, and there is no official information or credible reports backing it. Needless to say, fans will have to wait until the film comes out to find out if Rogen has a role in it.
In the episode, Sneider also discussed the test screening for the film that was reportedly held recently. He shared that a source of his, who saw the film, liked it. He also said that he had heard chatter before the screening, suggesting that the film was good. Sneider added that although his source liked the film more than Superman, there was room for improvement. He further stated that his source didn’t enjoy the film’s similarities to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, particularly the “needle drops.”
The insider also shared that reactions called Milly Alcock’s performance as Supergirl “terrific” and labeled the villain “lame.” He also said that fans would like Jason Momoa’s Lobo. Sneider further stated that while the action sequences were “fine,” they weren’t “memorable.” He then said that the film would not have any “major cameos” aside from David Corenswet’s Superman, whose appearance in the film he called an “extended cameo.”
Supergirl premieres in theaters on June 26, 2026. Craig Gillespie directed the film from Ana Nogueira’s screenplay.
