David Harbour Skipped Stranger Things Event for This Reason — Report

David Harbour reportedly didn’t attend the Stranger Things finale event on December 18. He had previously confirmed he would attend. He was scheduled to appear at Stranger Things: The Final Season Celebration, an event at the Paley Center in New York City on Thursday, December 18. It is reportedly due to his erratic behaviour.

David Harbour reportedly skipped the Stranger Things finale event following reports of eccentric behavior. Harbour is no longer listed as an expected attendee on the red carpet. Notably, his name is not mentioned on the venue’s website for the screening and special conversation.

According to a Paley Center spokesperson, the 50-year-old actor would “not be present due to a scheduling conflict.” Millie Bobby Brown is reportedly skipped the Stranger Things event due to a recent injury. The other cast members, Noah Schnapp, Maya Hawke, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo, did attend the event (via PEOPLE).

On December 17, TMZ reported that Harbour allegedly grabbed a man’s hat at an Encinitas, California, gastropub and left with it. He looked over his shoulder and declared, “C’mon, dude, f****** get me.”

The other man replied, bewildered, “What the f*** did I do to you, dude?” Fortunately, there was no physical altercation between Harbour and the other man, and the situation de-escalated. The unnamed man retrieved his hat and returned to the bar.

Daily Mail published a report in November that an unidentified source alleged that Brown filed a bullying and harassment complaint against Harbour. This was reportedly before production began on Stranger Things season 5. The production team allegedly launched a months-long investigation into the complaint.

A representative reportedly accompanied the 21-year-old actress on set while filming. However, Brown has only words of praise for Harbour during press interactions for Stranger Things season 5. The actress, who plays Eleven in the show, told Deadline, “Of course I felt safe. We’ve worked together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set.”
